A token is roughly four characters of text. A typical business email is a few hundred tokens; 5M tokens is about 15,000 emails.

Questions

Does it only work with Claude?
No. Chiron works with Claude Code, Claude Desktop, Codex, Gemini CLI and any other assistant on your computer that supports the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Your whole team shares one memory, whichever assistant each person prefers.
What counts toward storage?
The text of every document Chiron keeps on our servers: shared documents, and private ones you choose to back up. Each person has 5M tokens for their private backup; the team shares 15M. A shared document counts toward the team's 15M.
What happens at the limit?
New memories stop saving until there's room. You can delete your own private documents or unshare shared ones in the app, or talk to us about Enterprise.
Does my data leave my computer?
Shared memories sync through our servers so your teammates have them. Private memories stay on your computer, unless you turn on private backup to keep a copy on our servers for your other devices. With the Chiron app, recall itself runs on your machine.
What do I need?
A Mac, Windows or Linux computer, and an AI assistant such as Claude Code or Claude Desktop.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the billing page. Your app keeps the memories it already has.
